Coinbase platform head Rob Witoff promoted to CTO

Rob Witoff, head of platform at Coinbase, the largest U.S. cryptocurrency exchange, said on X that he has been promoted to chief technology officer. Witoff said he joined Coinbase as an engineer in 2014 and has remained focused on shipping products. While much has changed over the past 12 years, the team’s passion has not, Witoff said, adding that the goal is to make Coinbase the world’s best development environment.
