Binance founder backs ASEAN crypto regulatory passport

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao said at the 2026 ASEAN Tech Summit in Manila, the Philippines, that he supports introducing a crypto regulatory passport across the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, or ASEAN. Zhao added that he backs a system under which a crypto business license obtained in one ASEAN member state would be recognized by other member states, which would allow crypto firms to expand into multiple countries more easily.
