Forward Industries chairman says Multicoin is hindering Solana ecosystem development

July 28, 2026, 6:32 AM
Kyle Samani, chairman of Forward Industries (FWDI), described in the source as the largest corporate accumulator of Solana (SOL) through DAT, said on X that anyone building in the Solana ecosystem should recognize that Multicoin Capital is obstructing development across the ecosystem. The remarks came after the Hyperliquid Policy Center and Multicoin Capital submitted a joint comment letter backing the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s proposed rules on prediction market regulation. In the letter, the two sides argued prediction markets should be overseen under a single federal framework by the CFTC rather than under state gambling laws, and said clear standards that remain in place across political transitions, along with disclosure of review criteria, are needed. Meanwhile, Samani, who is also a co-founder of Multicoin Capital, dismissed speculation by crypto journalist Laura Shin, saying his departure from Multicoin had nothing to do with Hyperliquid.
