Ethereum layer-2 TVL falls to $5B, back near levels seen three years ago

Ethereum layer-2 networks' total value locked has fallen to $5 billion, roughly back to levels seen about three years ago, according to The Block's official X account. The Block added this contrasts with 2024, when layer-2 adoption accelerated and TVL surged across networks including Arbitrum (ARB), Optimism (OP) and zkSync.
