KOSPI falls back below 5,500 for first time since April 7

The KOSPI extended its sharp decline and fell back below the 5,500 level, trading at 5,425.3, down 9.93% from yesterday. The benchmark index has fallen below 5,500 for the first time since April 7, ending an about 80-session stretch above that level.
