South Korea’s Financial Services Commission Chairman Lee Eog-weon said the government has completed a draft bill on stablecoins and plans to submit it to the National Assembly as quickly as possible in the second half of the year, Edaily reported. Speaking at a full session of the National Policy Committee at the National Assembly in Seoul on July 29, Lee made the remarks in response to a question from Rep. Lee Hae-min of the Rebuilding Korea Party about when the government would submit its version of a basic digital asset law related to stablecoins. Lee said the draft is ready, but some differences remain unresolved.
