MoonPay launches AI payments service 'Paybox'

MoonPay has launched Paybox, a generative AI payments platform that connects ChatGPT and Claude through custom connectors, The Block reported. Paybox lets AI prepare payment flows for services such as flight bookings, restaurant reservations and online shopping, with users giving final approval through a passkey. Users can also set transaction limits and use an autonomous mode that allows AI to complete payments without approval. Built on a non-custodial structure, Paybox combines a crypto wallet and payment card in a single vault. That setup allows users to make AI-driven payments across blockchain and DeFi services, as well as services supporting the "x402" agent payment standard.
