Analysis says Strategy could theoretically liquidate up to $5B in BTC

A CoinNess analysis, citing Investing.com data, found Strategy could theoretically liquidate as much as $5 billion worth of Bitcoin to fund reserves, dividends and share buybacks. According to the analysis, under Strategy’s capital management framework, the company could sell up to about $5 billion in BTC to build as much as $1.25 billion in U.S. dollar reserves, cover roughly $1.76 billion a year in preferred stock dividends and interest payments, and repurchase as much as $2 billion in common stock and digital credit securities. The media outlet added that Strategy has sold about $218.4 million worth of Bitcoin so far this year to pay preferred stock dividends. As of July 26, the company held 843,775 BTC purchased at an average price of $75,476.
