A recent survey of more than 2,000 users by Rambler, Russia’s largest search engine, found 69% said they still do not know any practical use cases for cryptocurrency even after its legalization, TASS reported. Half of respondents said they do not use cryptocurrency and therefore do not know how legalization could affect their lives, while just 6% said the news of legalization made them want to learn more about crypto. Only 6% also said they were well informed about cryptocurrency and had personal trading experience. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a bill to bring the cryptocurrency market into the regulatory fold, with rules tied to key provisions expected to take effect on Sept. 1.
