Warren calls for probe into U.S. policy shift after UAE investments in WLFI

U.S. Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren said the U.S. government needs to explain why it eased AI semiconductor export policy toward the United Arab Emirates after World Liberty Financial, or WLFI, received investment from the UAE, Cointelegraph reported.
Warren said WLFI received a $500 million investment in January from an Abu Dhabi-based company, while UAE-linked firm MGX deployed a $2 billion investment in Binance using WLFI stablecoin USD1. Warren added that the U.S. Commerce Department later allowed exports of high-performance semiconductors to the UAE and indicated it would give favorable treatment to MGX license applications. Warren argued President Donald Trump’s business interests in crypto are affecting government agencies and even national security, and said the matter requires an investigation.
