XRPL unveils upgrade with privacy transfers for institutional users

XRPL has unveiled a major upgrade including Confidential Transfers, a privacy feature for institutional users, CoinDesk reported. The upgrade includes zero-knowledge-proof-based amount encryption as well as batch processing and permission controls tailored to institutional demand. The proposal requires approval from more than 80% of validator nodes before final activation. Aviva and Ondo Finance have issued real-world asset tokens on XRPL.
