BitMart founder Sheldon said on X that he has not disappeared and that the core team is conducting asset reviews and consolidation, along with system maintenance, after operations were suspended and controversy spread over delayed user withdrawals and unpaid staff wages.
Sheldon said the goal is to complete an orderly business shutdown and asked users to wait for further notice. Sheldon also denied allegations that funds were withdrawn ahead of users or that assets were misappropriated before fleeing, adding that the company is considering involving a court and a third-party auditor to disclose its asset status transparently.
