Bithumb restricts transfers involving 3 OFAC-sanctioned exchanges

South Korean exchange Bithumb announced it is restricting all cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals involving Shelbit, Aban Tether and Crypto Home DMCC starting today, after the firms were sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control for allegedly supporting terrorist groups including Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps or laundering illicit proceeds.
