Staked ETH hits record 41.7 million, equal to one-third of total supply

Bitfinex said the amount of staked Ethereum has reached a record 41.7 million ETH, equal to about one-third of the token’s total supply. Bitfinex said, "the amount staked is rising, but Ethereum's price has fallen from around $3,400 in January to $1,900." The exchange explained that as the staked amount increases, staking rewards also keep rising, driving growth in circulating supply. As a result, the total amount of staked Ethereum is also structured to keep increasing.
