Sui unveils private B2B settlement network Tessera

Sui unveiled Tessera, a B2B payments and settlement network designed to keep transaction amounts private, according to its official X account. In explaining the prototype, Sui said institutions are reluctant to settle trades on infrastructure where competitors can see prices and volumes. Sui added most blockchains disclose transaction amounts transparently, which has been a major reason blockchain has not been used for real-world business-to-business payments. Built on Seal MPC and confidential transfers, Tessera is intended to address privacy issues in intercompany transactions while allowing counterparties, regulators and other authorized parties to view transaction information as needed.
