BTC futures yields top U.S. 2-year Treasury, CryptoSlate says

Crypto analyst Marc Baumann argued Bitcoin futures yields had stayed below the U.S. two-year Treasury yield for 157 straight days, but CryptoSlate said that claim does not hold based on observations from Aug. 7. Baumann put the futures yield at around 3% and the two-year Treasury yield at 3.8%.
CryptoSlate said, "8월 7일 CME 결제 자료와 현물 가격을 기준으로 다시 계산하면 BTC 선물 연환산 수익률은 8월물 7.89%, 9월물 6.25%, 12월물 5.69%로, 같은 기간 미 2년물 국채 금리 4.19%를 모두 웃돈다". The outlet added that Aug. 7 falls within the 157-day period Baumann cited, meaning that observation alone breaks the claim of a continuous stretch below the Treasury yield.
CryptoSlate added that the figures can vary depending on the trading venue, contract maturity, and calculation method, while actual cash-and-carry arbitrage profitability also needs to account for transaction costs.
