Luke Dashjr says BLAKE2b selected as new PoW algorithm for BIP-110 chain

Conservative developer Luke Dashjr announced a random-selection method chose BLAKE2b as the new proof-of-work algorithm for the BIP-110 chain. According to Odaily, compared with SHA-256d, the algorithm is better suited to mining with standard CPUs and GPUs and places a lighter load on CPUs.
