Ripple extends NYU Abu Dhabi partnership to support blockchain research in MENA

Ripple has extended its partnership with New York University Abu Dhabi and will continue support through 2027 under the University Blockchain Research Initiative, or UBRI. The funding will be used for research on improving market efficiency and easing trade barriers through decentralized technology, with a focus on expanding the Volta Initiative, a blockchain app supporting smallholder farmers in Ghana, and backing research and education programs built on the XRP Ledger. Ripple has continued to focus on expanding in the Middle East and North Africa market, centered on Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
