Crypto.com has launched tokenized derivatives tied to the prices of 1,500 U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds, including Apple, Nvidia and Tesla, CoinDesk reported. The products are available for 24-hour trading in permitted regions including the European Economic Area, with a minimum trade size of $1. The instruments do not tokenize actual stocks or ETFs, but instead track their price movements as derivatives, meaning investors do not receive shareholder rights such as ownership of the underlying assets or voting rights. Crypto.com is issuing the products through Foris Capital, which it acquired in May last year, while the underlying assets are held by U.S. broker-dealer Alpaca.
