ZachXBT says no one should help Harmony for free

August 12, 2026, 6:45 AM
ZachXBT, a prominent on-chain analyst, said no one should help Harmony for free in connection with the latest incident and added ZachXBT will not track the case. ZachXBT argued Harmony merely used people who had helped the project during the $100 million Harmony Bridge exploit carried out by North Korea in 2022. Even though those efforts contributed to a key asset freeze that later led to law enforcement seizures, Harmony did not pay any bounty and instead brushed them off with only the words "good job," ZachXBT said. Earlier, an exploit was said to have hit the Harmony network, using empty blocks to mint four billion ONE tokens without authorization, equivalent to 26% of total supply.
