New York City opens probe into Kalshi, Polymarket, Coinbase and Gemini Titan

New York City has opened an investigation into prediction market platforms Kalshi, Polymarket, Coinbase and Gemini Titan, The Block reported. Julie Menin, speaker of the New York City Council, said in a statement that prediction markets aggressively entice consumers to gamble and place bets on sports, politics, culture, weather and nearly everything else.
