Upbit, Bithumb fiat deposits shrink by 2.8 trillion won in 6 months

Upbit and Bithumb saw more than 2.8 trillion won ($2.1 billion) in fiat deposits leave their platforms over six months, KBS reported. User won deposits held at the two South Korean exchanges fell to 5.0548 trillion won ($3.8 billion) at the end of June from 7.8679 trillion won ($5.9 billion) a year earlier. Dunamu’s deposits dropped 36.0% to 3.7 trillion won ($2.8 billion) from 5.8 trillion won ($4.4 billion), while Bithumb’s fell 35.2% to 1.3 trillion won ($977 million) from the 2 trillion won range.
