Hyperscale Data (DAT) said it sold 685 BTC and raised $43 million in cash, which it plans to use for development of a Michigan data center, debt and capital management, and other strategic businesses. The U.S.-listed Bitcoin accumulation company now holds about 275 BTC after also selling about 150 BTC in late July. Chairman Todd Ault said the company will continue mining BTC and plans to rebuild its holdings later using mined Bitcoin and available cash, although it currently sees using part of its BTC holdings for data center development and capital structure improvements as more appropriate.
