JPMorgan boosts Q2 BTC, ETH ETF holdings and adds new SOL position

JPMorgan Chase increased its holdings of BlackRock’s IBIT and ETHA in the second quarter and opened a new position in a Bitwise Solana staking ETF, CoinPedia reported, citing a 13F filing. As of June 30, JPMorgan held about 10.4 million shares of BlackRock’s IBIT, worth roughly $355 million, up from about 8.3 million shares in the previous quarter. Its holdings of BlackRock’s ETHA stood at about 1.17 million shares, worth roughly $14.3 million, a 338% increase from the previous quarter. For XRP, JPMorgan had strategically sold its position in the first quarter but resumed holdings this time. As of June 30, the bank held stakes in the Bitwise XRP ETF and the Grayscale XRP Trust ETF, along with about 19,900 shares of Armada Acquisition Corp II, worth roughly $207,000, tied to a deal backed by Ripple. During the same period, JPMorgan also held about 47,500 shares of the Bitwise Solana Staking ETF, indicating it had established a new position.
