Galaxy Research sees lower odds of U.S. CLARITY Act passing this year

Galaxy Research said the chances of the U.S. CLARITY Act passing this year are fading as growing uncertainty around the bill pushes the U.S. SEC and CFTC to accelerate work on standards for crypto issuance, trading and market oversight through rulemaking, interpretive guidance and regulatory exemptions. Galaxy Research emphasized those administrative steps may help fill the immediate regulatory gap, but they can be changed by a future administration and cannot replace a long-term regulatory framework established by Congress.
