Israel’s Bank Leumi renews push for crypto trading services

Israel’s oldest commercial bank, Bank Leumi, is working with Galaxy Digital to offer trading and custody services for virtual assets including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) through its mobile investment app, Bitcoin.com reported. If it wins final approval from the Bank of Israel, the service would become the first crypto trading offering by a local commercial bank. Bank Leumi also attempted to launch crypto trading in 2022 in partnership with Paxos, but the effort was scrapped after it failed to secure central bank approval.
