Strive CEO sees strong BTC upside over next 5-7 years on weaker dollar

August 19, 2026, 3:20 PM
Matt Cole of Strive, a Nasdaq-listed company pursuing a Bitcoin accumulation strategy under the ticker ASST, said on X the U.S. dollar has entered a structural weakening phase, which could create a strong bullish backdrop for Bitcoin over the next five to seven years. He posted in English, "Over the last 10+ years, the US Dollar Index (DXY) has been in a structural decline, and I think that trend is likely to continue. This could have a very positive impact on Bitcoin. Every major Bitcoin bull market has coincided with meaningful dollar weakness. In the 2017, 2020-2021, and 2025 rallies, declines in the DXY were observed. Personally, I think the DXY could fall toward its 2008 low near 70. In that case, Bitcoin could find itself in the midst of a powerful macro tailwind unlike anything it has experienced before."
