Arbitrum adds transaction-blocking feature for enterprise chains
August 21, 2026, 1:15 AM
Arbitrum implemented the ArbOS 61 Elara upgrade on Aug. 20, adding a feature that lets operators of dedicated Arbitrum chains run separately by companies and other entities block transactions from specific addresses, The Defiant reported. The feature is disabled on Arbitrum One and Arbitrum Nova, so it does not currently affect transactions by general users.
If needed, operators of dedicated chains can integrate restricted address lists from TRM Labs or Chainalysis to block transfers or smart contract calls. The upgrade also includes priority fee functionality and data availability integration for dedicated chains, while Arbitrum One’s Stylus-based smart contract size limit was expanded to 96KB from 24KB.
