South Korea to speed talks on stablecoin digital asset framework

South Korea’s Financial Services Commission Chairman Lee Eog-weon said the government will step up discussions on a second-stage digital asset bill related to stablecoins, speaking at a full session of the National Policy Committee on Aug. 24, Edaily reported. The remarks came in response to a question from Democratic Party lawmaker Lee Kang-il, and Lee also said he would make every effort to have the government submit its proposal in the fall.
