Tornado Cash developer retrial postponed to April 2027

Roman Storm, co-developer of crypto mixing protocol Tornado Cash (TORN), has had his retrial postponed to April 26, 2027, The Block reported. U.S. prosecutors had been pushing to hold the retrial in October, while Storm has sought an acquittal on grounds of insufficient evidence. The court rescheduled the retrial for April 2027, about six months later than the timing sought by prosecutors, citing ongoing legal proceedings and the schedule for hearings on the acquittal motion.
