South Korean buyers pile into leveraged crypto ETFs as market rebounds

South Korean investors in overseas stocks sharply increased net buying of leveraged ETFs tied to Bitcoin and Ethereum as the crypto market rebounded, Maeil Business Newspaper reported, citing Korea Securities Depository data. The report said 2x leveraged ETFs backed by BTC and ETH ranked among the top net-buying picks for these investors, with key names including ETHU, BITX and BITU. Over the past week, ETHU rose 62.4%, while BITX and BITU each gained more than 47%.
