Hyperliquid groups urge CFTC to allow energy perpetual futures in U.S.

August 26, 2026, 12:37 PM
Hyperliquid Policy Center (HPC) and tradeXYZ, a third-party market deployer built on Hyperliquid, submitted a comment letter to the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission seeking approval for energy perpetual futures contracts in the U.S. market. The two sides proposed creating a compliant access route for crude oil and natural gas perpetual contracts in the United States with 24/7 trading support, while also urging the regulator to allow stablecoins and tokenized traditional assets as margin and to recognize on-chain infrastructure in trading, clearing and settlement.
