Crypto trading in Russia could reach at least $46.43 billion in its first year as the market enters the regulatory fold, Anatoly Popov, deputy chairman of Russia’s largest bank Sberbank, said, according to Wu Blockchain. Popov added the volume could rise to $87.06 billion by 2029. Russia’s central bank plans to allow investors to legally buy cryptocurrencies through brokers starting Sept. 1. Non-qualified investors will be allowed to buy up to $3,800 worth of cryptocurrencies per year through a single licensed intermediary.
