Zcash releases toolkit to speed up privacy transactions

Zcash’s ZEC development team has released Zakura Common, an open-source cryptography toolkit that significantly improves shielded transaction performance, according to Crypto Briefing. With the toolkit, processing time to generate privacy transactions can be reduced from three seconds to as little as 200 milliseconds, making it more than 14 times faster on mobile devices and more than five times faster on desktop. The feature can be deployed without a network upgrade.
