Bitcoin set for biggest August gain in five years, U.Today says

Bitcoin is on track to post its largest monthly gain in August in five years, according to U.Today. BTC has risen around 24% so far this month, far above its historical average August return of -7.5%. BTC fell 22.2% in the first quarter and 14.09% in the second quarter this year, but has rebounded 32.48% so far in the third quarter. U.Today noted that in 2017, BTC rose 80.41% in the third quarter before surging 215% in the fourth quarter, adding that it remains to be seen whether that pattern will repeat.
