Crypto funding falls 74% in August to $596M

Crypto industry fundraising totaled $596 million this month, down 74% from $2.312 billion the previous month, according to RootData. The sector recorded 49 fundraising deals over the same period. By segment, infrastructure drew the most capital at $311 million, followed by CeFi, or centralized finance, at $199 million and DeFi at $73.1 million.
