ICE, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, has signed a memorandum of understanding with tokenized securities infrastructure firm tZERO to build next-generation securities market infrastructure.
Under the agreement, tZERO will serve as a design partner for digital transfer agent and broker-dealer infrastructure to support on-chain settlement on a securities token platform linked to the NYSE. ICE also plans to review ways to use tZERO’s tokenized assets for collateral management at its clearinghouses and affiliates, while participating in tZERO’s investment round. The partnership is expected to expand across investment, technology and market infrastructure.
