Community links Injective mainnet halt to exploit, estimates $2.8M stolen

August 31, 2026, 4:48 PM
A cryptocurrency community analysis has raised the possibility that the halt in new block production on the Injective (INJ) mainnet was caused by an exploit attack. In connection with this, crypto-focused Telegram channel Moneystack warned that on-chain data suggests around $2.79 million in cryptocurrency appears to have been stolen in the hack, while an on-chain message on Etherscan shows a demand for negotiations with the attacker. Moneystack added that the Injective team had not yet issued an announcement. CoinNess previously reported that new block production on the Injective mainnet had stopped.
