Vietnam is pursuing a pilot program that would allow domestic companies to tokenize real-world assets to attract funding from overseas investors, Bitcoin News reported. Under a government resolution prepared in September last year, cryptocurrencies issued in Vietnam must be backed by real assets. Securities and fiat currencies are excluded, while initial investment will be limited to foreign investors. The core of the program is to let Vietnamese companies tokenize assets they hold and raise capital from global investors.
