Coincheck Group, DFNS partner on crypto custody for Japanese institutions

Nasdaq-listed Japanese crypto exchange operator Coincheck Group said it has formed a strategic partnership with France-based wallet infrastructure firm DFNS to develop a cryptocurrency custody service for Japanese financial institutions. The companies plan to integrate DFNS’ wallet technology into Coincheck’s Japan unit to build a custody offering that meets the standards required by financial institutions. The service is expected to launch after it meets Japanese regulatory requirements and the two sides sign a final agreement.
