U.S. Commerce Department to publish GDP, inflation data onchain via Chainlink

The U.S. Commerce Department is working with Chainlink (LINK) to make macroeconomic data available on a public blockchain, Crypto Briefing reported. It marks the first time a U.S. federal agency has distributed official economic indicators onchain. The collaboration will provide key data from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, including real GDP and the Personal Consumption Expenditures price index. The data is based on the BEA’s official releases and will be updated monthly or quarterly in line with the existing publication schedule.
