Former Multicoin Capital co-founder takes aim at firm over HYPE sale

Kyle Samani, a co-founder of Multicoin Capital, cited news of the firm’s HYPE sale and wrote in English, "The way to be a successful venture investor is to buy a large position, go on podcasts and promote it, and then sell it. I always struggle with step 3." The remark was widely seen as an indirect criticism of Multicoin Capital for selling holdings after previously speaking aggressively about HYPE. The firm recently sold about $33.64 million worth of HYPE from a position worth $90.5 million that it had held for more than six months.
