Coldcard hacker starts swapping about 10% of stolen BTC into ETH

A hacker linked to the third attack in the Coldcard wallet breach has begun swapping about 10% of the stolen BTC into ETH through decentralized exchange THORChain, Cointelegraph reported. Alex Thorn, head of research at Galaxy Digital, said this was the first on-chain movement of funds from the original hacker address across the three attacks and added the hacker was continuing to try after a series of failed swaps on THORChain. According to Galaxy Research, at least 1,789 BTC was stolen from 8,865 addresses in the Coldcard hack, worth about $114.7 million at the time.
