Chainlink partners with Bottomline to offer cross-chain payments to 600-plus banks

Chainlink said it has entered a strategic partnership with Bottomline, one of the world’s top three SWIFT service providers, to offer cross-chain payment capabilities to Bottomline’s more than 600 banking clients. Using CCIP, or the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, Chainlink will provide a secure interoperability and orchestration layer connecting Bottomline’s existing payments infrastructure with public and private blockchains, allowing tokenized value to move safely across chains. Chainlink said the partnership will give Bottomline’s banking clients access to on-chain payment rails while continuing to use their existing ISO 20022 messaging.
