Tom Emmer urges Senate vote on CLARITY Act

U.S. House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, a Republican, urged the Senate to hold a vote on the CLARITY Act, a crypto market structure bill, during an interview with CNBC’s Squawk Box. Emmer had previously stressed that the CLARITY Act would boost the global competitiveness of the U.S. digital asset market. Emmer also supports the Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act, or BRCA, which would exempt DeFi software developers that do not directly custody funds from money transmitter regulations.
