Pompliano says Bitcoin and AI may be the key assets over the next 20 years

Anthony Pompliano, founder of crypto-focused investment firm Pompliano Investments, said Bitcoin and artificial intelligence could be the strongest asset combination over the next 20 years.
In a post on X, Pompliano said U.S. federal debt has topped $40 trillion and annual interest costs are running above $1 trillion. Pompliano said the core issue is massive government spending, while a near-term resolution looks unlikely. Pompliano said Bitcoin could benefit if the government chooses to ease the debt burden by expanding the money supply, adding Bitcoin could rise above $1 million over the long term if trillions of dollars in new money issuance weaken the U.S. dollar. Pompliano added artificial intelligence would play a central role if the government instead tries to solve the debt problem by boosting economic growth. In that scenario, Bitcoin could serve as a hedge against inflation, while AI-related assets could offer exposure to growth.
