SBI Holdings subsidiaries SBI Shinsei Trust & Banking and SBI VC Trade have begun investing part of the trust assets backing the yen-pegged stablecoin JPYSC in Japanese short-term government bonds, the companies announced today. Under the move, 1 billion yen ($6.8 million) of JPYSC reserve assets will be managed through Japanese short-term government bonds. SBI said the goal is to manage reserve assets with highly creditworthy yen-denominated assets while securing the liquidity needed for JPYSC redemptions.
