Glassnode says institutional and new capital inflows into BTC are picking up again

September 08, 2026, 2:52 PM
Bitcoin has been moving sideways in a $77,300-$81,300 range, and while spot buying momentum has slowed, institutional demand and new capital inflows are accelerating again, according to on-chain analytics firm Glassnode. In its weekly report, Glassnode said U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $681.2 million in net inflows last week, up sharply from $247.8 million a week earlier. At the same time, spot momentum fell 30%, while spot trading volume was little changed at $5.3 billion, indicating spot buying has yet to translate into high-conviction purchases. Still, Glassnode assessed the rise in ETF net inflows and stronger bullish positioning in the options market as positive signals.
