15% of college student investors in South Korea hold crypto, survey shows

A survey of 500 college students in South Korea found 68.0% are currently making financial investments, with 15.3% holding virtual assets as part of their portfolios. According to a survey conducted by Vinu Labs Insight through Everytime, domestic stocks ranked highest among holdings at 77.6%, followed by overseas stocks at 63.2%. Virtual assets came next after bonds, funds and ISAs at 21.8%, with a holding rate of 15.3%. More than half of respondents, or 50.4%, said they invested 3 million won or less, while 25.6% said they managed at least 10.01 million won. The most-used securities platform was Toss Securities at 50.5%, followed by Kiwoom Securities at 10.7%, and Samsung Securities and KakaoPay Securities at 6.7% each.
