Bessent urges Senate to move quickly on Clarity Act

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent urged the Senate to move quickly on the Clarity Act. In a post on X, Bessent strongly urged all senators to stay at the negotiating table after returning from recess, reach common ground, and agree to begin floor debate so the legislative process can continue. Bessent warned that failing to do so could send a troubling signal to both U.S. allies and adversaries that the United States lacks the will to lead the future of digital assets and may forgo an opportunity to strengthen national security tools aimed at preventing the misuse of digital assets.
